Here is a cover i did for Tor books, by a very talented writer, , It was really nice to work on and really is a great short story! I really love the type they picked for this, gives a classic look or something, thanks Irene!

reminds me of the 'heyday' of scifi pulp novels - not in a bad way, but the tones and even the font choice you mentioned really remind me of when a book cover meant something and was actually done by an artist, when so many today are nothing more than a stock photo and some terrible design work / font useage. i suppose thats what you meant by classic though...
